Each flagship will be covered by a full day conference session covering (1) objectives and results of the flagship, (2) major EU initiatives and funding programmes linked to this flagship, (3) major innovation and end market trends in each area and (4) some key technology developments incl. results of EU projects.</p>
<p>By that time, HORIZON 2020 the new EU research and innovation funding programme is expected to be fully adopted and ready to launch its first funding calls, which will be featured at the conference.</p>
<p>In additional there will be scope for extensive networking and possibly some technology brokerage. EU projects will have a possibility to disseminate their results through presentations and information stands.</p>

<p>The association has 3 founder members:</p>
<p>- Euratex, the European Apparel and Textile Confederation</p>
<p>- Textranet, the European Network of Textile Research and Technology Organisations</p>
<p>- Autex, the Association of Universities for Textiles</p>
<p>The organisation will have its offices in Brussels at the Euratex premises. After holding its constituting General Assembly, the new organisation is expected to start operations in April 2013. The overall objectives and activities of the platform will remain unchanged, but new membership opportunities will be introduced tailored to the specific interests of companies/organisations in the European networking and information services that the Textile ETP provides.</p>

<p>During the conference's closing session, Euratex, Textranet and Autex,&nbsp; the 3 founder members of the new European Technology Platform association Textile ETP a.i.s.b.l. expressed their objectives and commitment for this new entity. The new membership opportunities and services where explained in detail. The European Commission stressed their commitment to working closely with the European Technology Platforms in the coming years to align the priorities and funding opportunities of HORIZON 2020 with the needs of Europe's industrial research and innovation communities.</p>

<p>The event provided stakeholders with a picture on industry challenges for greater resource efficiency and how they can be linked to on-going/up-coming research and innovation policy initiatives and funding programmes of the European Commission in these areas.</p>

This service should help to more easily, quickly and cost-effectively connect European companies which look for innovative textile technologies with researchers from across Europe which look for industrial evaluation and exploitation of their research results and technology prototypes. The ETTMa service works as an Open Innovation platform with a process similar to the TEPPIES system. The ETTMa service is free of charge and is available to all textile &amp; clothing companies and related research and technology providers based in Europe.</p>
