Industry 4.0: Digital Textile Micro Factory at Texprocess, fully networked on-demand production presented live

Digital technologies, once embraced, bear the potential to act as game changers and offer completely new opportunities to companies.

In this context the GERMAN INSTITUTES OF TEXTILE AND FIBER RESEARCH DENKENDORF (DITF) presented on behalf of Frankfurt Fair the “Digital Textile Micro Factory” in collaboration with renowned partners at Texprocess trade fair.

Visitors could discover a fully networked and integrated factory from the design stage to digital printing, automated single ply cutting, assembling and finishing. Furthermore detailed information was provided from experts at each stage. The seamless digital networking of the production steps within the Micro Factory ensured optimal material consumption, quicker processing time for orders and the highest level of flexibility.

These responsive processes, following the paradigms of Industry 4.0, enabled on-demand production live at the trade show.
