DITF: Experiencing Textile Future: ‘Digital Textile Micro Factory’
June 5, 2019
Lutz Walter

At this year’s Texprocess – the leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials in Frankfurt a.M. / Germany, the ‘Digital Textile Micro-Factory’ staged by the German Institutes of Textile and Fibre Research in Denkendorf (DITF) proved a huge success. Several thousand visitors explored the three fully networked production chains: a 3D-knitting line for shoe uppers, a fashion manufacturing line focussing on direct data transfer in VR and AR and an automated processing line for technical textiles. DITF was supported by Assyst, Caddon, Dürkopp Adler, ErgoSoft, HP, HS Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Juki, Mimaki, Stoll, Vuframe and Zünd.
