Pre-TEPPIES presentations of industry members

In anticipation of the publication of the Horizon Europe work programmes and calls of proposals, including the ones of the 'Textiles of the Future' European partnership, and our TEPPIES brokerage activities, Textile ETP would like to provide an opportunity for our members from industry to pitch their expertise and capacity available to participate in European projects. We understand that as an industry organisation, companies do not always have the resources to initiate or lead a project, but can still bring valuable contribution to an existing project idea.

As non-industry member, you will get to hear from industry experts showcasing their expertise, capabilities, and potential contributions to European projects, offering valuable insights into real-world innovation challenges and opportunities. By joining this webinar, you will:
✅ Identify potential partners for future projects
✅ Explore ways to connect research expertise with industry-driven needs

The pre-call webinar will take place on Wednesday 23 April, 14:00-16:15 CETParticipation (both as speakers and attendees) in this webinar is only open to all Textile ETP members.

About the TEPPIES

The Textile Project Proposal Information Exchange System (TEPPIES) is our members-only brokerage system designed to help our research and industry members to form strong European consortia to successfully apply for funding opportunities provided by the EU research and innovation framework programme. The Textile ETP monitors textile-related calls for proposals and tenders from the EU programmes (i.e. Horizon Europe, European Defence Fund,...) and informs its member about the opportunities.

Through a system of non-confidential expressions of interest (EoI), members signal their interest to lead a project proposal in response to a specific thematic call for proposals published by the European Commission. All EoIs are collected by the Textile ETP and distributed to all members. At a brokerage event, well in advance of the EU submission deadline, all project promotors have the chance to pitch their project idea and find expertise and partners they may still be missing in their consortium.

About the Textiles of the Future European Partnership

The Partnership, officially announced by the European Commission in March 2024, is set to launch in 2025. It aims to support the textile sector, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in implementing a comprehensive research and innovation program. This initiative comes on the heels of the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles introduced by the European Commission in 2022, which called for significant reforms in the design, production, and marketing of textile products within the EU.

Dedicated calls for proposals will be launched under Cluster 4 of the Horizon Europe programme between 2025 and 2027. These calls will reflect the priorities set out in the SRIA and will be approved by the Partnership Board, consisting of representatives from the European Commission and private stakeholders. The collaborative projects funded through these calls will involve industry players, with a focus on SMEs, alongside research and technology organizations, universities, and other stakeholders. The aim is to focus on higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) to ensure the rapid deployment of developed solutions at an industrial scale within the European textile sector.

In the initial phase (2025-27), at least €60 million will be allocated by public and private stakeholders to core research and innovation actions. This funding will be supplemented by additional public and private investments from various EU, national, and regional programs, and investors. These funds will support accelerated exploitation actions, including demonstration, pilot testing, new manufacturing facility setups, early market replication, and start-up creation.
