On 13-15 January 2026, the PESCO-UP consortium met in Brussels, Belgium, for its fifth project consortium meeting, combined with a policy event on Digital Product Passports and Traceability, organised by CEPS.

Since its launch in May 2024, the SOLSTICE project is driving a shift from linear models to circular regional ecosystems in the textile industry, focusing on four key territories: Grenoble-Alpes Métropole (France), Berlin (Germany), Prato (Italy), and Catalonia (Spain). By mid-project, SOLSTICE has already revealed both regional disparities and promising solutions to strengthen textile repair, reuse, and recycling infrastructure.

The Horizon Europe Work Programmes 2026-7 and 2026 CBE JU calls have been published! This means that at Textile ETP, we have launched our 2026 TEPPIES brokerage activities for our members!

Starting next year, our 3 Innovation Hubs introduce a new activity: strategic co-creation sessions designed to explore and identify opportunities in 3 different topics, and translate them into future EU funding prospects. This activity is created specifically for Innovation Hub members and aims to support collaborative, forward-looking strategic development. 

Skills4Circularity, a four-year project designed to reshape the sector’s professional skillset, has officially kicked off on 25-26 November in Terrassa, Spain. Over the next four years, the consortium will develop innovative training tools, methodologies, and learning programs tailored to the evolving needs of the sector.

On 28 November, our Secretary General Lutz Walter took part in the 2025 Aachen-Dresden-Denkendorf International Textile Conference, one of Europe’s leading textile research events. The conference gathered experts from across academia and industry for two days of discussions on sustainable textiles, circular economy, biobased and high-performance fibres, smart textiles, and robotics.

On 25 November, Swiss Textiles hosted Innovation Day 2025 at Technopark Zurich, bringing together over 260 participants from across the Swiss textile ecosystem. Lutz Walter, presented an overview of the current landscape and opportunities for EU funding in textile research and innovation, highlighting several ongoing initiatives by Textile ETP aimed at advancing the European textile sector.

Today marks the launch of the Textile EPR Masterclass, a six-month, expert-led programme developed with OHANA Public Affairs and Refashion, providing practical guidance on textile end-of-life management, including collection, sorting, repair, reuse, recycling, and circular business strategies.
