On 2 July, members of the DigitX Innovation Hub visited the headquarters of Lectra, one of the hub’s Strategic Innovation Partners, in France. It was a full day dedicated to exploring how technology is transforming the fashion, furniture, and automotive industries.

Following the election of the new Textile ETP Board in Alcoy on 10 May, our new President Marina Crnoja-Cosic has been re-elected as President of Textile ETP, and her second term starts today, for a duration of 2 years.

Whether you are interested in sustainability or are tech-savvy, our Innovation Hubs offer textile companies, research organisations, brands and retailers the chance to learn, network and collaborate on the hot topics of circular and biobased textiles, and smart and technical textiles.

Textile ETP has announced a major expansion of ECOSYSTEX. The move broadens ECOSYSTEX’s scope, deepens its service offering, and introduces flexible subcontracting packages designed to support EU-funded R&I projects in meeting their communication and dissemination requirements more effectively.

On 6 June 2025, our Sustainability Programmes Officer, Tilla Kross, was invited to speak about Textile ETP’s pivotal role in the “Textiles of the Future” European Partnership under the Horizon Europe programme, at the recent EU Green Week event hosted by the Cities Northern Netherlands, in collaboration with the Oslo Region European Office.

On 4-5 June 2025, Textile ETP participated in the first-ever Textiles Recycling Expo, a event dedicated to tackling the urgent challenge of textile waste. The expo brought together pioneering solutions in the recycling of fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibres, and non-wovens, marking a significant step toward a more circular and sustainable textile sector.

Once again this May, Textile ETP attended the iTechStyle Summit 2025, hosted in Porto by our member CITEVE. The summit, a key event in the European textile innovation calendar, brought together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore the latest developments shaping the future of textiles.

On 29 May 2025, the SmartX Innovation Hub, in collaboration with CeNTI – Centre of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, hosted a one-day event in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. Our project manager Judith Bosch and members of the SmartX Innovation Hub came together to explore smart and high-performance textiles for the mobility sector.
