Textile ETP on Tour in Enschede, Netherlands

Join us in Enschede, the Netherlands, on 28 May 2026 for the fifth ‘Textile ETP on Tour’, an event organised in partnership with Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

This one-day experience in Enschede (the second-largest textile city in Europe after Manchester until the 1960s) will include:

  • Visit to leading local companies in the Twente region:

    • Regionaal Textielsorteercentrum Twente (RTT) – a regional textile sorting and recycling centre in Enschede, specialising in the collection, sorting and valorisation of post-consumer textiles. RTT collaborates with innovative technology partners such as MATOHA, ValueSort.ai, and Mangostone to advance automated fibre identification and data-driven textile sorting.

    • Enschede Textielstad – an industrial weaving mill producing high-quality fabrics for the fashion and interior design industries, working with natural and locally sourced yarns and committed to transparent, sustainable textile production.

  • An extensive programme at Saxion, featuring:

    • Interactive presentations on textile innovations in circularity, transparency, healthcare, and wellbeing.

    • A guided innovation and laboratory tour of the Sustainable & Functional Textiles research group.

    • The official inauguration ceremony with a lecture by Dr. Jens Oelerich, followed by networking drinks.

The event, offering unique opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, and exploring innovations shaping the sector, will only be accessible for Textile ETP members participating in the Textile ETP Annual Conference 2026
