Textile ETP elects new Governing Board

Textile ETP, the leading European Technology Platform for the textile and clothing industry, has elected its new Board during the General Assembly on 13 May 2025 in Alcoy, Spain.

The Board is composed of 16 members, representing the 4 full member organisations of Textile ETP: EURATEX (industry), Textranet (technology centres), NETFAS (universities) and EU-TEXTILE2030 (innovation clusters).

Dr. Marina Crnoja-Cosic, has been re-elected as President of Textile ETP for a second term, continuing her leadership within Textile ETP, advancing innovation and collaboration across the European textile ecosystem. She will continue to work alongside Vice-President Braz Costa.

I am very grateful and fully motivated to be re-elected as Textile ETP President. I will use my knowledge, network and pioneering spirit for innovation to tackle the major challenges and opportunities that our industry currently faces. As ETP President, I look forward to helping the European textile industry to be on the podium of competitiveness, innovation and sustainability in a global context for the years to come.

Paolo Canonico has been elected as Vice-President-Treasurer. Paolo Canonico, Global Technical and R&D Director at Saati SpA, has been a dedicated member of the Textile ETP Board since 2013. He brings with him extensive experience and a strong commitment to innovation especially in the technical textile industry.

Paolo Canonico succeeds Michael Kamm, who served as both President and Vice-President-Treasurer with great dedication over the past 6 years. Textile ETP extends its sincere thanks to Michael Kamm for his invaluable contributions, particularly his work as President from 2018-2022 a period of significant growth and transformation for Textile ETP.

The new Board, which will start on 1 July 2025 and last for a duration of 2 years, will continue to work closely with its members, stakeholders, and partners to drive strategic initiatives, support research and innovation, and ensure the long-term competitiveness of the European textile and clothing industry.
