The IRISS project meets in Brussels for 6th General Assembly
On 26-27 March 2025, Textile ETP took part in the IRISS' 6th General assembly in Brussels, Belgium, which gathered all IRISS partners from around 15 countries for two days of collaboration.
The event spread over two days, with each day focused on different aspects of the IRISS project and its far-reaching impact. On the first day, a hybrid stakeholder event was held, allowing nearly 200 participants to join both in-person and virtually. The activity focused on how Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD ) can drive innovation and competitiveness in the European industry, highlighting insights and key findings, while also exploring challenges and future opportunities with the implementation of SSbD, together with researchers and experts from industry and policy.
The second day shifted its focus to the IRISS SSbD Community, a network of professionals, researchers, and industry experts that has been nurtured throughout the duration of the IRISS project. This vibrant community, which has now grown to more than 450 members and continues to expand, was established with the goal of fostering continued collaboration and knowledge sharing, even after the project’s official completion. The IRISS SSbD Community serves as a foundation for ongoing dialogue and the pursuit of safe, sustainable industrial practices.
