Textile ETP extends ECOSYSYTEX’s scope and activities, and launches subcontracting packages

The European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing (Textile ETP) has announced a major expansion of ECOSYSTEX , the European Community of Practice for Textile Sustainability and Circularity. The move broadens ECOSYSTEX’s scope, deepens its service offering, and introduces flexible subcontracting packages designed to support EU-funded R&I projects in meeting their communication and dissemination requirements more effectively.

A broader scope

As part of this expansion, ECOSYSTEX has extended its Technical Working Groups to now also include Skills & Education. This group brings together EU-funded projects focused on workforce development and lifelong learning, fostering collaboration to tackle common challenges, promote skills for a sustainable textile industry, and support broader EU policy objectives across the TCLF (Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear) sectors.

Three service packages with more activities for post‑2025 projects

For EU‑funded projects that start after 1 January 2026 (including proposals submitted to 2025 EU-funded calls), ECOSYSTEX will now provide three levels of subcontracting support packages: FREE, STANDARD, and PREMIUM, tailored to fit different project needs and budgets.

The FREE tier ensures basic visibility and access to ECOSYSTEX’s expert groups, while STANDARD and PREMIUM tiers offer enhanced onboarding, greater dissemination support, cross-project collaboration, and opportunities to feature in high-impact events and media. PREMIUM users also benefit from a custom project webpage and unlimited use of ECOSYSTEX’s communication channels.

These structured packages allow EU-funded projects to easily plan their dissemination strategy and include subcontracting costs directly in their proposals.

Next steps

Projects that plan to start after January 2026 can already signal their interest via the ECOSYSTEX website. Consortia preparing 2025 call proposals are encouraged to contact the ECOSYSTEX team via info@textile-platform.eu if they have any questions, or fill the form to join the Community.
