Textile ETP presents the “Textiles of the Future” European Partnership at EU Green Week event on circular textiles

On 6 June 2025, our Sustainability Programmes Officer, Tilla Kross, was invited to speak about Textile ETP’s pivotal role in the “Textiles of the Future” European Partnership under the Horizon Europe programme, at the recent EU Green Week event hosted by the Cities Northern Netherlands, in collaboration with the Oslo Region European Office.

Tilla Kross’s presentation emphasized the need for strong collaboration between EU-funded projects to achieve meaningful impact. She also introduced the ECOSYSTEX community, a growing ecosystem of EU-funded textile research projects, underscoring how Textile ETP contributes to fostering connectivity, transparency, and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders:

“Our goal is not only to drive innovation, but to make it accessible and visible,” said Tilla Kross. “Through ECOSYSTEX, anyone can follow EU research efforts and see how collaborative initiatives are shaping the textiles of tomorrow.”

The event marked the second in a series focused on sustainable innovation and highlighted how the transition to circular textile value chains is being implemented at regional and local levels across Europe. Attendees gained insight into how policy, innovation, and collaboration intersect to accelerate sustainable transformation within the textile sector.
