Going Green Trainings #2: Integrating open dataset & AI models for textile sorting

On 6 June 2024, we hosted a second 'Going Green Trainings' webinar, organised as part of the RegioGreenTex Community Talks, on "Integrating open dataset & AI models for textile sorting". In this training webinar, we explored the integration of open datasets with AI models specifically designed for textile sorting. Through the use of advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques, AI can efficiently categorize, and sort various types of textiles based on their quality, material composition, and condition. Our main speakers, Farrukh Nauman from RISE, provided valuable insights into how these technologies can streamline textile recycling processes, promote sustainability, and drive a circular economy.

Thank you to all participants!
