On 20 September, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter spoke at the FashionForFuture Conference in Florence, Italy. Focusing on digitalisation, and organised by the Università degli Studi di Firenze, the FashionForFuture Conference was attended by over 100 participants of the Tuscan textile, leather and fashion sector.

Marina Crnoja-Cosic, the newly appointed President of Textile ETP, delivered a keynote address at the official kick-off event of 'New Textile Ecosystems' (NEWTEXECO) on 21 September 2023, in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

On 13-15 September, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter participated in the 62nd Global Fibre Congress in Dornbirn, Austria.

On 7 September, Textile ETP had the privilege of attending Resortecs' event in Brussels, titled "From Waste to Profit - Unlocking Industrial-scale Textile Recycling in the EU." The gathering brought together over a hundred textile professionals from various corners of Europe, to explore the transformative potential of textile recycling on an industrial scale.

From 5 to 7 September, Textile ETP was in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France, where we had the privilege of witnessing the inauguration of CETIA in Hendaye, and gaining insights from Lectra, near Bordeaux.

On 20 July, Textile ETP had the privilege of attending the annual member event hosted by TECHTERA in Lyon, France. This event was an excellent opportunity to showcase their activities, connect with industry peers, and present our Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda 2022 and ECOSYSTEX's recent Input Paper.

On 12 July, Secretary General, Lutz Walter, had the privilege of addressing the audience of the digitALL Fashion Innovation Summit in Munich, Germany. Lutz Walter's presentation highlighted the sustainability challenges encountered by the textile and fashion industry today.

As a results of two months of collaboration between the researchers, industry experts and other stakeholders involved in the 23 ECOSYSTEX project members, the ECOSYSTEX Community, facilitated by Textile ETP, is publishing their first Input Paper identifying the most pressing and impactful research gaps and needs to be filled to enable the green transition of the European textile ecosystem.

Following the election of the new Textile ETP Board in Porto on 10 May, our new President Marina Crnoja-Cosic (representing Euratex on behalf of CIRFS, the European Man-Made Fibres Association) is starting her new role on 1 July 2023, for a duration of 2 years.

ITMA 2023 has shown great enthusiasm, with a week-long celebration of technological innovations and revolutionary breakthroughs in the textile industry. The Textile ETP team was ready connect with individuals eager to explore our dedication to promoting textile research and innovation throughout Europe. We were thrilled to share our vision and showcase how we contribute to the advancement of the textile industry.
