The fourth ECOSYSTEX Conference will take place as a physical event from 22 to 24 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium in partnership with the University of Antwerp. This event will bring together experts, innovators, and industry leaders to explore the theme of circular textiles beyond recycling.
Strategy, innovation, and five days of exploration: Textile ETP at Techtextil-Texprocess 2026
Textile ETP made the most of Techtextil-Texprocess 2026 with five guided innovation hub tours across both shows, a landmark presentation of the first SmartX strategy document on the future of EU technical textiles in defence, aerospace and protection, and a week of exchanges that bring industry reality and European funding opportunity into closer conversation.
Textile ETP speaks about biotechnology for textiles at the EU Advanced Fermentation Conference
On 9 February 2026, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter spoke at the EU Advanced Fermentation Conference on biotechnology for textiles, focusing on fermentation-driven materials and processes. The discussion highlighted how biobased textile innovations, from novel biopolymer-based fibres to bacterial or enzymatic processes for textile colouration or finishing, could transform textile production.
New in our Innovation Hubs: Strategy Co-Creation
Starting next year, our 3 Innovation Hubs introduce a new activity: strategic co-creation sessions designed to explore and identify opportunities in 3 different topics, and translate them into future EU funding prospects. This activity is created specifically for Innovation Hub members and aims to support collaborative, forward-looking strategic development.

Textile EPR Masterclass: Building the Knowledge and Technologies for Enabling Textile EPR
Today marks the launch of the Textile EPR Masterclass, a six-month, expert-led programme developed with OHANA Public Affairs and Refashion, providing practical guidance on textile end-of-life management, including collection, sorting, repair, reuse, recycling, and circular business strategies.

Textile ETP contributes to TexirC Seminar on Sustainability and Circularity
On 15 October 2025, our Sustainability Programmes Officer, Tilla Kross, represented Textile ETP at the TexirC Project seminar day in Espoo, Finland. Tilla presented Textile ETP’s work on sustainability, highlighting EU funding opportunities that support circularity in textiles, our Circular & Biobased Textiles Innovation Hub, and how Textile ETP is driving collaboration through ECOSYSTEX.
ECOSYSTEX Conference 2025: New Technologies and Business Models for Textile Circularity
The third ECOSYSTEX Conference took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 29 September to 1 October 2025, in partnership with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. This year’s edition was organised in collaboration with six EU-funded projects offering a dynamic platform for discussion and experimentation around textile circularity.

Textile ETP Annual Conference 2025: between innovation, regulation, and sustainability
The 19th edition of the Textile ETP Annual Conference took place in Alcoy, Spain, welcoming over 260 professionals spanning the entire textile value chain. Against a backdrop of rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks, technological advances, and mounting environmental pressures, our conference offered a vital platform for strategic reflection, open dialogue, and collaboration.
