The third ECOSYSTEX Conference will take place as a physical event on 29 September-1 October in Gothenburg, Sweden, in partnership with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. This event will bring together experts, innovators, and industry leaders to explore new technologies and business models for textile circularity.
The 19th edition of the Textile ETP Annual Conference took place in Alcoy, Spain, welcoming over 260 professionals spanning the entire textile value chain. Against a backdrop of rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks, technological advances, and mounting environmental pressures, our conference offered a vital platform for strategic reflection, open dialogue, and collaboration.
Dr. Marina Crnoja-Cosic, has been re-elected as President of Textile ETP for a second term. She will continue to work alongside Vice-President Braz Costa. Significant changes to the Board include the election of Paolo Canonico as Vice-President-Treasurer.
On 6–7 May 2025, partners of the PESCO-UP project met in Emmen, Netherlands, for the project consortium meeting, hosted by project partner CuRe Technology - Polyester Rejuvenation. The two-day event brought together PESCO-UP partners from across Europe to review project progress, collaborate on key topics, and examine recent developments in polyester recycling and circular textiles.
On 29 April, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter participated in thehe Waste2BioComp and BIOMATTERS Cluster final event, which brought together key voices from the bioeconomy for a dynamic session on scaling innovation and turning potential into market-ready solutions.

On 26-27 March 2025, Textile ETP took part in the IRISS' 6th General assembly in Brussels, Belgium, which gathered all IRISS partners from around 15 countries for two days of collaboration.
Our Secretary General Lutz Walter participated in the inaugural Circular Rooms Conference in Düsseldorf, where he presented insights on the ‘Textiles of the Future’ European Partnership and introduced the DigitX Innovation Hub. The event focused on digital innovations and circular business models shaping the future of sustainable textiles.
To provide our members with first-hand insights into cutting-edge research, technologies, and sustainable innovations, we launched ‘Textile ETP on Tour’, an exclusive members-only initiative designed to showcase pioneering developments in textile science and technology. For the first edition, we organised an itinerary in Roubaix and Tourcoing, France, where we visited some of the most innovative textile companies and research centres in Europe.
A major step in the implementation of the European Partnership for Textiles of the Future has been taken, as the European Commission and Textile ETP now begin the signature process of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Once signed, the partnership will be officially launched to drive sustainability, circularity, and innovation in the textile sector while reinforcing Europe's strategic autonomy and global competitiveness.
On 12-13 March, the Cellulose Fibres Conference 2025 in Cologne brought together industry experts, innovators, and thought leaders to discuss the future of sustainable fibres. Among them was our President, Marina Crnoja-Cosic, who took the stage to represent Textile ETP and contribute to the session on “Strategies in Changing Market Conditions for Cellulose Fibres.
