Textile ETP presents the “Textiles of the Future” European Partnership at EU Green Week event on circular textiles
On 6 June 2025, our Sustainability Programmes Officer, Tilla Kross, was invited to speak about Textile ETP’s pivotal role in the “Textiles of the Future” European Partnership under the Horizon Europe programme, at the recent EU Green Week event hosted by the Cities Northern Netherlands, in collaboration with the Oslo Region European Office.
Textile ETP at the first-ever Textiles Recycling Fair
On 4-5 June 2025, Textile ETP participated in the first-ever Textiles Recycling Expo, a event dedicated to tackling the urgent challenge of textile waste. The expo brought together pioneering solutions in the recycling of fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibres, and non-wovens, marking a significant step toward a more circular and sustainable textile sector.
Textile ETP at the iTechStyle Summit 2025 in Porto
Once again this May, Textile ETP attended the iTechStyle Summit 2025, hosted in Porto by our member CITEVE. The summit, a key event in the European textile innovation calendar, brought together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore the latest developments shaping the future of textiles.
Lab to Market: SmartX Innovation Hub hosts event on Smart & High-Performance Textiles for Mobility
On 29 May 2025, the SmartX Innovation Hub, in collaboration with CeNTI – Centre of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, hosted a one-day event in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. Our project manager Judith Bosch and members of the SmartX Innovation Hub came together to explore smart and high-performance textiles for the mobility sector.
What happens to non-clothing textile waste?
Regularly, our Secretary General Lutz Walter shares his insights and knowledge through his blogposts, covering a wide range of topics related to textile sustainability and innovation. Follow his blog to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges that the textile industry is facing today.
Registrations are now open for the third ECOSYSTEX Conference!
The third ECOSYSTEX Conference will take place as a physical event on 29 September-1 October in Gothenburg, Sweden, in partnership with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. This event will bring together experts, innovators, and industry leaders to explore new technologies and business models for textile circularity.
SOLSTICE project partners meet in France for General Assembly
On 22–23 May 2025, Textile ETP took part in the third General Assembly of the SOLSTICE consortium, held in Pertuis, France, and hosted by project partner Pellenc ST.
Textile ETP Annual Conference 2025: between innovation, regulation, and sustainability
The 19th edition of the Textile ETP Annual Conference took place in Alcoy, Spain, welcoming over 260 professionals spanning the entire textile value chain. Against a backdrop of rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks, technological advances, and mounting environmental pressures, our conference offered a vital platform for strategic reflection, open dialogue, and collaboration.
Textile ETP elects new Governing Board
Dr. Marina Crnoja-Cosic, has been re-elected as President of Textile ETP for a second term. She will continue to work alongside Vice-President Braz Costa. Significant changes to the Board include the election of Paolo Canonico as Vice-President-Treasurer.
Textile ETP on Tour visits Alcoy’s industrial heritage
To provide our members with first-hand insights into cutting-edge research, technologies, and sustainable innovations, we launched ‘Textile ETP on Tour’, an exclusive members-only initiative designed to showcase pioneering developments in textile science and technology. For the second edition on 12 May 2025, we organised a visit to Jover Textiles, a family-owned company established in 1965 and renowned for its high-quality fabrics used in interior decoration and contract projects.
PESCO-UP partners meet in the Netherlands for the project consortium meeting
On 6–7 May 2025, partners of the PESCO-UP project met in Emmen, Netherlands, for the project consortium meeting, hosted by project partner CuRe Technology - Polyester Rejuvenation. The two-day event brought together PESCO-UP partners from across Europe to review project progress, collaborate on key topics, and examine recent developments in polyester recycling and circular textiles.
Textile ETP at Waste2BioComp’s final event
On 29 April, Textile ETP Secretary General Lutz Walter participated in thehe Waste2BioComp and BIOMATTERS Cluster final event, which brought together key voices from the bioeconomy for a dynamic session on scaling innovation and turning potential into market-ready solutions.
